About Me

Melissa began her nursing career working in direct patient care. She joined United Health Group as a case manager and quickly advanced to the case management leadership team. As a leader, Melissa managed disease management and case management programs for self-funded employer groups that included Fortune 500 companies, large hospital systems and governmental entities. Melissa garnered vast experience collaborating with contracting, sales, networking, account management and ancillary departments to maximize program performance. In addition to leading and supervising her team, Melissa led efforts with her leadership peers to analyze program data, build-out program electronic documentation platforms, collaborate with teams of physicians, report program metrics to senior leadership as well as identify and meet industry regulatory requirements to maintain accreditation.

Using her experience navigating institutional systems, Melissa began consulting with clients of Glenn Rogers, PLLC and other senior housing operators, managers and owners to help them navigate the regulatory change of ownership (CHOW) process and to facilitate CHOW applications for state licensure, Medicaid contracts and Medicare contracts. Through relationships developed with local and federal agencies, Melissa rapidly earned, and maintains, the reputation as a resource trusted by stakeholders in all aspects of the CHOW process.
